1. RACE REGULATIONS:
This is an independent event and the KZNTC is not affiliated to neither MSA or WOMZA. All riders must make themselves aware of the Race Regulations as laid down.
2. COURSE AND VENUE:
Course/Venue – Killarney 4x4, Shongweni, Durban
3. ELIGIBILITY OF RIDERS:
Competitors must be paid up members of the Northern Regions Trials Club or alternative Trials Club.

5. COMPETITION NUMBERS:
Competition numbers for all classes will be those as issued by the NRTC.
6. RIDING GEAR:
Protective clothing must be worn by all competitors, and must include:
a. A trials helmet
b. Trials or enduro boots
d. Trials or enduro riding pants
a. Entries are to be done online at http://www.nrtc.co.za/Events.html
b. Entries open on the 25 June 2019 and close on the Friday before the event
c. Telephonic entries will not be accepted
d. A late entry fee of R100 will be charged for entries after 12h00 on the Wednesday before the event
e. A ‘penalty’ fee of R100 will be charged for payments made on the day of the event, this will also apply to all cash payments
f. Entry fees are as follows:

9. DOCUMENTATION AND SIGN-

Scrutineering will take place at the venue from 07H30 to 09H30 in the impound paddock. All competitors to place their motorcycles in the impound paddock, where they will be scrutineered and to remain until the start of the event. Any motorcycle not scrutineered will automatically be disqualified from the event. Helmet and boots are to be presented if required by the scrutineer.
11. RIDERS BRIEFING:
Riders briefing will take place at the venue from 09H30 to 09H45. Final Instructions, Starting instructions and time allowance to be announced during riders briefing on the day of the event. All competitors are to attend the riders briefing, all competitors are required to be present at the beginning of the briefing (09H45) any competitors not being present at the beginning of the briefing will not be eligible to compete in the event.
The start will be at 10H00 directly after the riders briefing.
The time allowance shall be given at riders briefing. A maximum of 30 minutes penalty time will be allowed resulting in 1 penalty point per minute of penalty time. Every competitor must sign off, failure to sign off will result in elimination from the final results.
The course shall consist of not less than 8 sections with the appropriate number of laps ridden to total not less than 40 sections ridden. The Clerks of the Course retains the right in agreement with the Organising Committee and the Stewards to alter the number of sections and laps and the time allowance on the day. They also have the right to alter sections deemed dangerous. Any rider interfering with the course or moving any object inside the section without the Observers or Clerk of the Course’s permission will be penalized with 5 points.
15. NUMBER BOARDS:
Numbers with a minimum of 100mm high and 10mm wide are to be affixed to the front of the motorcycle using a number board.
Number Boards to have the following backgrounds (designating the class being ridden):
Results shall be announced as soon as possible after the event and shall remain provisional for a period of one hour after which they will be declared as final. Results will be posted on the NRTC internet.
17. AWARDS AND PRIZE GIVING:
Awards and prize giving are to be held on the 14 July 2019 at Killarney 4x4 Shongweni at 5:30pm
18. MEETING POSTPONED OR CANCELLED:
The Clerk of the Course reserves the right to postpone or cancel the race meeting due to inclement weather, or Force Majeur.
19. ENVIROMENTAL CODE:
Riders are asked to be conscious of the environment :
a. All riders are to refuel their motorcycles only in the demarcated refuelling area
b. All riders are responsible for providing their own environmental mats
c. If riders need to work on their motorcycles, they may do so in their own designated areas, work is to be done on an environmental mat
d. All riders are responsible for the removal of their own litter and waste products (including containers, old oils and fuel etc.)
Given the loss we ran at last years event, we have decided that we will not be including the cost of a meal for riders in their entry fee but rather charging this separately. We are going to have a braai after prize giving so the KZNTC club will provide fires, salads, rolls, plates and cutlery but will charge extra for braai packs for those that want at a cost of R150.
We have also had to increase the rider entry fee to R550 per rider per day for adults and R350 for students/scholars.
